Jules was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Saint-Étienne University Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $5,550 short.
my son has been in and out of Saint-Étienne University Hospital since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Jules struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Jules won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
