Nargis lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Jodhpur Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Nargis could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,000
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $35
