My tuk-tuk: Ngozi's only way to earn a living

Without my tuk-tuk Ngozi can't work; a $100 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 7 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $100. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $100 goes: • gearbox replacement (parts): $70 • Towing and inspection: $15 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $15 If you're reading this, thank you. - Ngozi

  • Praying for you, Ngozi. Hope you get there. We're a small family in Kilkenny but we're thinking of you. God bless.

    • I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Thinking of Ogbomosho.

      • Looking forward to the next update. I hope July is when things finally get easier. All the best!

        • Shared it with a few friends. After 27 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
