I make my living with my taxi. 8 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $200 goes: • Towing and inspection: $30 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $50 • Labor charges: $120 Every share and every dollar helps.

  • Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care.

    • Keep going. Hope the shop reopens soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Tucson

Hope it all works out. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.

        • Best of luck. Small businesses are the heart of Guarulhos. Hope you're open again soon

          • Thinking of you and your family. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Embakasi donated after I showed her your page. Blessings.
