My motorbike: Rocío's only way to earn a living
Rocío's my motorbike is Rocío's only source of income and needs a fuel pump replacement costing $400.

I make my living with my motorbike. 5 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $400 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $85
• Labor charges: $210
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $105
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Thinking of you, Rocío. Shared this with my family.
hope the shop reopens soon. After 15 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
You're not alone, Rocío. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Los Angeles.
Sending strength. Looking forward to the next update. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Los Angeles.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Kampala so I could bring a meal.
