I make my living with my delivery van. 12 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $160. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $160 goes: • rear axle replacement (parts): $75 • Labor charges: $45 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $35 • Towing and inspection: $5 Thank you so much.

hope it all works out. Small businesses are the heart of Hawassa. Hope you're open again soon. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too

              • Rooting for you, Biniam. Hope the shop reopens soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

                • Keep going, Biniam. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
