Moving day volunteers: Takashi's family relocating in Tokyo
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Tokyo.

After mold in the old building became a health issue for my child, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Tokyo, and the lease starts on Sunday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for a few strong people for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Shared this with my family. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Nsukka.
your post was clear and honest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Tokyo
hope it all works out, Takashi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
sending strength, Takashi. Hope this works out for you. God bless.
