Bharath was diagnosed with kidney cancer in September. The oncology team at Mumbai University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Bharath is 55, worked as a taxi driver until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mumbai University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
