Moving day volunteers: Raymond's family relocating in Newport
Raymond has found a safe new apartment in Newport and needs help moving heavy furniture on Tuesday.

After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Newport, and the lease starts on Tuesday. I have two children, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the second floor and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Newport.
Rooting for you, Raymond. Hope this works out for you. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Seattle.
You're not alone, Raymond. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Addis Ababa.
A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Put this on a community board in Madurai this morning. Thinking of Newport
