Moving day volunteers: Ngozi's family relocating in Ikeja
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Ikeja.

After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Ikeja, and the lease starts on Monday. I have three kids, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending love, Ngozi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Thinking of Ikeja.
Sending good thoughts, Ngozi. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Savannah.
