A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in San Diego.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in San Diego, and the lease starts on Monday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about five hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the second floor and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
