Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Shweta in Howrah
A stair-climbing aid would give Shweta independence - we're $1,100 away.

Shweta lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Howrah Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,100.
Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Shweta could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $1,000
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $50

reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Bogotá this morning. Blessings.
So sorry you're going through this, Ashok. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Dhaka this morning.
