Mobility fund: specialist standing frame for Stephanie in Aberdeen
A specialist standing frame would give Stephanie independence - we're $2,600 away.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom304 views
Stephanie lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Aberdeen Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,600.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Stephanie could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• specialist standing frame: $2,050
• Fitting and training sessions: $250
• Delivery and set-up: $130
• First-year servicing plan: $170
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
