Mobility fund: specialist standing frame for Colleen in Kilkenny
A specialist standing frame would give Colleen independence - we're $4,900 away.

Colleen lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Kilkenny Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,900.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Colleen could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $4,900 goes:
• specialist standing frame: $4,500
• First-year servicing plan: $270
• Delivery and set-up: $130
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

hope things get better soon. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out
Hope it all works out. Your post was clear and honest. We're a small family in Santarém but we're thinking of you
