Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Slamet in Bekasi
Help Slamet get a prosthetic leg so He can get to the shops and visit friends.
🇮🇩 Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia1,559 views
Slamet lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at Bekasi General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Slamet could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $100 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $35
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $20
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
