Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Sarah in Nairobi
A prosthetic leg would give Sarah independence - we're $1,000 away.
🇰🇪 KenyaPosted Oct 1, 2026878 views
Sarah lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Nairobi Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,000.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Sarah could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $75
• First-year servicing plan: $70
• prosthetic leg: $855
I hope life is good to you.
