Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Jay in Kochi
Jay needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $500.
Anywhere in the world604 views
Jay lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Kochi Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500.
His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Jay could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $500 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $25
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• prosthetic leg: $430
I hope life is good to you.

Wishing you peace, Parth. Get well soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Kochi.
Wishing you peace. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Hang in there, Parth. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings.
Sending good thoughts. Wishing Jay a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Put this on a community board in Warsaw this morning. Blessings.
Good luck. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Sacramento.
