Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Ifeoma in Badagry
A prosthetic leg would give Ifeoma independence - we're $600 away.
🇳🇬 Nigeria539 views
I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at the Badagry Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $600 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $520
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $30
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
