Madina
George lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Madina Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450. His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment George could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $450 goes: • prosthetic leg: $320 • Fitting and training sessions: $25 • Delivery and set-up: $25 • First-year servicing plan: $80 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Abena
