Mobility fund: powered wheelchair for Mark in Quezon City

A powered wheelchair would give Mark independence - we're $700 away.

Quezon City
Mark lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Quezon City Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $700. His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Mark could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $700 goes: • powered wheelchair: $580 • Fitting and training sessions: $75 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $30 Every share and every dollar helps. - Nenita
