Mobility fund: powered wheelchair for Marcin in Warsaw
A powered wheelchair would give Marcin independence - we're $900 away.
🇵🇱 Poland1,442 views
Marcin lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at Warsaw General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $900.
His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Marcin could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $900 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $120
• powered wheelchair: $730
• Delivery and set-up: $50
Thanks for reading all this.

Rooting for you, Danuta. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
shared it with a few friends. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care
