Quezon City
Jericho lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Quezon City Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,450. His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Jericho could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,450 goes: • powered wheelchair: $1,300 • Fitting and training sessions: $50 • Delivery and set-up: $40 • First-year servicing plan: $60 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Jomar

Sending good thoughts, Jomar. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Sent it to 9 people at work. God bless.

    • Hang in there, Jomar. Your post was clear and honest. After 11 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Quezon City.

      • Hope it all works out. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Poznań.
