Aberdeen
Faisal lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Aberdeen Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500. His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Faisal could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $500 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $135 • Delivery and set-up: $160 • Fitting and training sessions: $205 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
