Mobility fund: powered wheelchair for Chen in Sacramento

A powered wheelchair would give Chen independence - we're $650 away.

Sacramento
Chen lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Sacramento Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650. Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Chen could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $650 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $260 • First-year servicing plan: $185 • Delivery and set-up: $205 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Rui
