Mobility fund: pair of hearing aids for Carlo in Salerno
Help Carlo get a pair of hearing aids so He can attend work interviews.
🇮🇹 Italy1,421 views
Carlo lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at Salerno General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Carlo could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $135
• Fitting and training sessions: $270
• First-year servicing plan: $245
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Rooting for you, Alessandro. I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Ciudad de México.
Thinking of you, Alessandro. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Carlo.
It's all in the list in the story. delivery and set-up is the big one at $135, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.
Wishing you peace, Alessandro. I hope things turn around soon.
Thanks for sharing this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best
Thinking of you and your family, Alessandro. Wishing Carlo a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
