Port Harcourt
Nkechi lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Port Harcourt Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850. Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Nkechi could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $850 goes: • communication tablet with eye tracking: $720 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 • Delivery and set-up: $30 • First-year servicing plan: $55 Thank you so much.
