Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Patrícia in São Paulo
A cochlear implant processor upgrade would give Patrícia independence - we're $2,950 away.

Patrícia lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the São Paulo Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,950.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Patrícia could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $70
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $2,750
• First-year servicing plan: $130

Wishing you peace. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like!
Looking forward to the next update. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Nairobi
Hope it all works out, Larissa. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
