Mobility fund: braille note-taker for Sachin in Madurai
A braille note-taker would give Sachin independence - we're $100 away.
🇮🇳 Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India1,384 views
Sachin lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Madurai Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Sachin could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $100 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $45
Every share and every dollar helps.
