Ogbomosho
I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at the Ogbomosho Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,000. My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks. With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,000 goes: • braille note-taker: $910 • Fitting and training sessions: $20 • Delivery and set-up: $25 • First-year servicing plan: $45 I hope life is good to you.

Updates from Nneka

  1. Update from Ogbomosho: the plan for fitting and training sessions is now scheduled. We're at 12% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Quick update: $117 raised so far (12%). I made the first payment toward fitting and training sessions. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  3. Update from Ogbomosho: I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. We're at 7% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
