Mobility fund: braille note-taker for Min-ji in Seongnam

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the Seongnam Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,700.
My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• braille note-taker: $1,300
• Fitting and training sessions: $110
• Delivery and set-up: $125
• First-year servicing plan: $165
