Mobility fund: adapted tricycle for Himari in Tokyo

An adapted tricycle would give Himari independence - we're $600 away.

I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Tokyo Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600. My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $600 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $85 • First-year servicing plan: $220 • Fitting and training sessions: $295 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
