Mick needs a lift to Dublin General Hospital - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to Dublin General Hospital would keep Mick on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Mick has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to Dublin General Hospital alone. After a foot amputation, Mick can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 26 km each way. Mick is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Good luck, Tara. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Blessings
