Mesa house fire that spread across the block relief - Orchard village
After the house fire that spread across the block, families in Orchard village need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The house fire that spread across the block hit Orchard village on 26 August. My home was one of 44 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $5,250 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,600
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,150
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,500
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sending strength, Michael. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Sacramento so I could bring a meal
Thanks for sharing this. Hope this works out for you. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Mesa.
