Marcos's stage 3 ovarian cancer treatment fund
Marcos is facing stage 3 ovarian cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Marcos was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in August. The oncology team at Memphis Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Marcos is 46, worked as a bakery worker until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Memphis Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $8,650 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,950
• Scans and lab work: $760
• Transport to Memphis Cancer Centre: $1,250
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $840
• Household costs while unable to work: $850
