Mahesh needs a lift to Birmingham Regional Medical Center - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to Birmingham Regional Medical Center would keep Mahesh on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Mahesh has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to Birmingham Regional Medical Center alone. After an eyesight problem, Mahesh can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 20 km each way. Mahesh is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
