Maciej needs a full set of tools to reopen a bicycle repair shop

Maciej has run a bicycle repair shop for twelve years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $1,500 will put it back on its feet.

Radom
For twelve years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Radom. In September, a storm that collapsed the roof took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $1,500 goes: • Replacing a full set of tools: $970 • Initial stock: spare parts: $155 • Shop repairs and licensing: $120 • Working capital for the first month: $255 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Maciej

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($45 in total) I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Quick update: $150 raised so far (10%). we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
