Luca's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Luca won a place at New York Girls' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Grade 9 at New York Girls' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the design and technology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $500, which is more than we have.
I love design and technology and want to become a nurse. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $500 goes:
• Textbooks and workbooks: $180
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $40
• School uniform and shoes: $280
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Take care, Luca. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
Sending good thoughts, Luca. Hope you get there
