Lilian wants to stay at home - help fund eight months of care
Lilian, 88, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $500 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 88. After a diagnosis of dementia Lilian can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Lilian desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Lilian worked all of her life as a schoolteacher, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $500 goes:
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $25
• Part-time carer (eight months): $450
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $25

Quick update: $78 raised so far (16%). we've started the first stage. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
