Lilian needs an adapted tricycle - help us make it happen
Lilian needs an adapted tricycle that the health system won't fund; the cost is $100.
🇹🇿 Arusha, Arusha, Tanzania964 views
Lilian lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Arusha Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Lilian could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $100 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $40
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
