Let's build a youth football pitch together in Tarkwa

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $500. It will serve about 337 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $500 goes: • Materials: $390 • Permits and inspections: $35 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $15 Thank you so much. - Irene
