Let's build a youth football pitch together in Rochester
Volunteers in Rochester are raising $3,000 for a youth football pitch at Jacaranda Park.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,000.
It will serve about 134 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $260
• Tools hire and delivery: $430
• Materials: $2,310
