Jabalpur
Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Monday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 330 each week. Donations have dropped by about 35% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jabalpur market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $400 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $220 • Baby formula and diapers: $55 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $125 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  3. Quick update: $10 raised so far (3%). I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  • Thinking of you and your family. More neighborhoods should do this. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

    • Thanks for sharing this, Harsh. Shared this with my family. We're a small family in Sherbrooke but we're thinking of you. Love from Sherbrooke
