Let's build a youth football pitch together in Half-Way Tree
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Acacia community hall that will serve 488 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,250.
It will serve about 488 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Materials: $1,000
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $100
• Tools hire and delivery: $110
Glad we found this place.
