Let's build a youth football pitch together in Birmingham
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Sycamore community hall that will serve 551 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,000.
It will serve about 551 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $360
• Permits and inspections: $190
• Tools hire and delivery: $450
