Let's build a solar-powered water pump together in Angeles
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $400 for materials.
🇵🇭 Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines1,112 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 205 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $230
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $75

Sending strength, Hazel. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Angeles.
Hope it all works out, Hazel. Shared it with a few friends. God bless
Wishing you the best, Hazel. Hope you get there.

Wishing you the best, Hazel. Your post was clear and honest. All the best.
Sending love. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Bonny.
