Travis was diagnosed with stomach cancer in December. The oncology team at San Diego Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in March. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Travis is 44, worked as a bus conductor until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Diego Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $12,850 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,250 • Scans and lab work: $1,200 • Transport to San Diego Regional Medical Center: $770 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $560 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,070 Thanks for reading all this. - Riley
