Let's build a skate park together in San Diego
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $2,600 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,600.
It will serve about 264 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Materials: $1,400
• Permits and inspections: $310
• Safety equipment and signage: $430
• Tools hire and delivery: $460
