Back to business - Garba's comeback in Abuja
Garba has run a barbershop for four years; the demolition of the market destroyed the equipment, and $550 will put it back on its feet.

For four years I have run a barbershop in Abuja. In July, the demolition of the market took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $340
• Initial stock: supplies: $110
• Shop repairs and licensing: $55
• Working capital for the first month: $45
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

stay strong, Garba. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Is replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors the biggest cost or is there more coming?
Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors is $340 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Abuja.
Good luck. I hope things turn around soon. Love from Guarulhos
