Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Rochester
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a sensory garden for children with autism - we need $3,650 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $470, and the remaining cost is $3,650.
It will serve about 486 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Materials: $3,150
• Tools hire and delivery: $240
• Safety equipment and signage: $260
