Build a wheelchair ramp for Henrique in Belém
Henrique uses a wheelchair and cannot leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇧🇷 Pará, Brazil500 views
Henrique has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Henrique can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Henrique's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thanks for being kind about this.

so sorry you're going through this. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My husband and I read this together.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
Thinking of you and your family. Hope the doctors have good news. I hope November is when things finally get easier

So sorry you're going through this. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out.
